Miguel Diaz-Canel expressed confidence that the terrorist attack will not be able to divide Russia

HAVANA, March 27. /TASS/. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel visited the Russian Embassy in Havana on Wednesday to leave a note in the book of condolences in the wake of the terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall near Moscow.

"First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Republic Miguel Diaz-Canel, accompanied by Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, President of the National Assembly of People's Power and State Council Esteban Lazo and Vice President Salvador Valdes visited the embassy to leave an entry in the book of condolences opened over the bloody terrorist attack on March 22 at the Crocus City Hall concert venue," the diplomatic mission told TASS.

The Cuban president expressed confidence that the terrorist attack will not be able to divide Russia."We received with deep pain the news of the terrorist attack that took place on March 22 at the cultural center in the Moscow Region, resulting in numerous deaths and injuries. We strongly condemn this barbaric act that caused so much pain and suffering to the Russian people. We are convinced that Russia's unity will not be shaken," the embassy quoted excerpts from the book.

On the evening of March 22, a terrorist attack targeted the Crocus City Hall music venue in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, just over the Moscow city limits. The current death toll is 139, while 182 people were injured. Eleven individuals suspected of being involved in the terrorist attack have been apprehended, including four gunmen, who were detained in the Bryansk Region, southwest of Moscow, as they attempted to seek refuge by crossing the nearby Ukrainian border. President Vladimir Putin said in a televised address that, according to preliminary information, the Ukrainian side had prepared "a window" in the border especially for the terrorists to cross undetected. He promised that all those who were behind the attack on Crocus City Hall would be identified and punished.
